Maryland Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program

Created under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive Program provides incentive payments to eligible professionals and hospitals to promote adoption of and meaningful use of interoperable health information technology and qualified electronic health records.

Maryland Medicaid is no longer accepting applications for new Electronic Health Record Incentive Program participants. Program Year 2016 was the last year to begin participation.

We are accepting attestations for Program Year 2017 through March 31, 2018. If you have reported Meaningful Use before, you will not be able to attest for Program Year 2017 until January 1, 2018, as you are required to report electronic Clinical Quality Measures for the whole 2017 Calendar Year.
